Freezing Woman 7 - Author Book Signings
One of the most anticipated parts of Freezing Woman is our vibrant community Market. This year, we are truly honoured to host three remarkable authors whose work embodies the spirit of exploration, conservation, and community that is so central to Freezing Woman.
We're thrilled to announce that Kevin Callan, Jill Heinerth, and Hap Wilson will be joining us at the Freezing Woman Market for in-person book signings.
This is a wonderful opportunity to meet them, share a quick word, and get a book signed for yourself or as a perfect gift for the adventurer in your life.
Jill Heinerth
Jill Heinerth is a world-renowned underwater explorer, polar adventurer, and the first-ever Explorer-in-Residence for the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. Alongside her bestselling memoir Into the Planet, Jill will be signing copies of her children's picture book, The Aquanaut. It’s an inspiring story that shows how her childhood imagination paved the way for a life of incredible exploration.
Kevin Callan
Known to many as "The Happy Camper," Kevin Callan is the author of over 18 books, including the bestselling The Happy Camper and A Paddler's Guide to Algonquin Park. We're especially excited as Kevin will be sharing his new illustrated children's book, A Spark of Courage—a beautiful story about a child's first canoe trip and the healing power of nature.
Hap Wilson
Hap Wilson is a legendary canoeist, cartographer, artist, and passionate conservationist. An International Fellow of the Explorer's Club, he has paddled over 60,000 km of Canadian wilderness, meticulously mapping routes and co-founding the environmental group Earthroots. He is the author of more than a dozen essential books, including the classic Voyages: Canada's Heritage Rivers.
