How do I join?

Steps to join:

  1. Join our community on Patreon choosing a membership level. See what each level gets below.

  2. Using the same username and password, visit the community discussion forum to participate in events, workshops, discussions, and more.

What do you get for a membership?

There are 3 levels of membership with increasing benefits, as follows. The price is per month, and you can cancel at any time. The annual memberships for Sapling and up are discounted 50%, and entitle you to all events, workshops, and more for an entire year!

Funds are used to support the group events and activities, cover costs for speakers’ travel, and support related good causes such as wildlife research, women’s shelters, and more.

We have a wide selection of useful guides to support your learning, or simply brushing up on things you already know.

Discussion Forum

Meet other artists, adventurers, gardeners, and more. We host discussion spaces for art, biking, gardening, outdoor adventures, tech, useful stuff around home, and more.

Find your people! There are birds of a feather spaces that you may have things in common with others. Your membership entitles you to participate in all of them. Meet wonderful friends in the community!

The discussion forum has an intuitive interface, excellent search capabilities, optional email notifications for activity, and more making it very easy to follow and participate in discussions.

While many spaces are co-ed, some spaces are gendered to be women and non-binary only. Most importantly, there’s no hate, no misinformation, no spam, and no nonsense that you see elsewhere. It has a really great vibe!

Group Events

We organize a number of group events throughout the year. Your membership entitles you to participate in them all!

There are also additional smaller events that you may choose to join other members for. Or perhaps you’d like to organize your own, and invite members to join you? Choose your own adventures!

Workshops and Presentations

One of the benefits of a good sized community like ours is to engage some incredible speakers who are doing amazing things. As a member, you can hear them speak for no added cost.

We also regularly host skills development workshops, most of which are no-added cost to members like yourself. Some advanced workshops may have an added cost or prerequisites, but that will be clear in their listings.

Sell in the Marketplace

Do you have gear, equipment, or clothing that you no longer need? Do you have art that someone might love? Your membership entitles you to post to sell in our marketplace.

Store Discount

Members are entitled to a 10% discount in the Ripples and Leave Store, and the Freezing Woman Store. An especially useful way for members going to Freezing Woman to get great value for your membership is to buy kiln dried hardwood. The wood is delivered to Freezing Woman, saving you the stress of finding a source for good quality wood1

VIP Dinner

Once a year, at Freezing Woman, we thank the noteworthy speakers, workshop hosts, and volunteers by hosting a fun dinner out. It’s a great chance to meet these incredible people over a tasty meal.


NOTE: Tree members must be members for at least 3 months, or have paid for an annual membership, to be eligible for the VIP dinner.
